WIX has petrol in its blood...

WIX Filters have always walked hand in hand with motor sports. This tradition is over 50 years old and originated in the USA.

WIX found its way around the racing world very quickly. Since the beginning of the 1960s, when Richard Petty, also known as ‘King’, started cooperating with WIX Filters, we have participated in numerous renowned races, including NASCAR and the Indy 500.

WIX’s involvement is not only sponsorship, thanks to which the brand reaches millions of loyal racing fans every year. It primarily means designing and providing filtering solutions to be used in racing cars. WIX focuses on both the development of new technologies and continuous improvement of the existing product. Regular track tests form an important part of the product development plan. Years of experience allow WIX to offer filters which prove efficient even in the most difficult conditions.

WIX Racing and British Touring Car Championship

In 2014, WIX Filters decided to join forces with Adam Morgan and Ciceley Motorsport in order to participate in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) competition under the WIX Racing brand. The team’s rides are exciting times for everyone connected with WIX in the UK.

Adam Morgan, driving a racing A-Class Mercedes, had a very successful first season as our driver, he managed to win the last round on the Brands Hatch GP track. WIX Filters continued sponsoring the WIX Racing team in 2015, when Adam succeeded in winning the Thruxton race and managed to get on the podium six times on his way to reaching seventh place in the general standings.

We have recently started our third BTCC season as the WIX Racing team’s naming rights sponsor. We are looking forward to the future because the season has started spectacularly for us - Adam Morgan has been on the podium four times, twice as a winner. Morgan dominates the Thruxton track where he has had three podium finishes, including one victory.

WIX outside Europe – sponsorship for Ryan Newman (#31), Richard Childress Racing team driver.

WIX Filters has been cooperating with the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) team for 3 seasons. RCR is a legend in the American motor sports community. The team has over 45 years of history and is synonymous with success and victory. It has won 15 championships (6 x Sprint Cup Series, 6 x NASCAR XFINITY Series, 2 x NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, 1 x ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards) and was the first team to win in three individual countrywide NASCAR series.

The partnership between WIX Filters and Richard Childress Racing is based on the sponsorship of Ryan Newman (driving Chevrolet SS #31) in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series (selected races), technical support for the Richard Childress Racing team and ECR Engines (supplier of specialist racing engines for the NASCAR series). Technical support is based on the supply of oil and air filters, as well as the active support of new solutions development. All RCR race cars bear the WIX Filters logo under their hoods - a sign that our filters ensure the proper operation of their engines.

WIX Filters has been the leader of the filtering industry for over 75 years, providing its clients with top quality car filters designed so that their efficiency could exceed expectations. Richard Childress Racing has been connected with the WIX brand for many years, since I dealt with constructing engines myself. Around the year 2000, we started cooperating with WIX in order to develop optimum filtering solutions for our air and oil filters so as to support our racing programme. WIX has constructed filters whose efficiency has exceeded our boldest expectations. The WIX brand has always supported us and I am proud that we can continue working together with their engineers and introduce new solutions for ‘everyday’ use filters – Richard Childress, chief of the Richard Childress Racing team.
